it's interesting b/c in another maxmara campaign with Hye Park and a white model, Hye never made direct eye contact and when she did, she wore glasses. here, it's the opposite. :)
^ we analyzed the workings of advertising and images in one of my classes and actually, the model not looking directly at the camera is more objectified than the one who acknowledges the audience. ...whether that makes it less mysterious, I think that just depends on perspective.
wow! huge campaign that isn't "india" related and actually has lakshmi showcased as just another female high-fashion model. wow! amazing. it's lovely.

ReplyDeleteexactly same what I thought but I find Hye&Snejana's much better in photo itselves.
there not much interactions going on between the two and looking directing at the camera just makes it less mysterious.
