OMG, I am sooooo in love with this editorial. Han Jin really ROCKS in these photos, especially photos #1, 2, 5, 7, 9 and 10. Photo #5 was used in her Spring/Summer 2009 show cards.
Again, BRAVO to China Vogue for using a Korean model. Korean Vogue needs to step up to the plate and include other Asian models in their pages. If you want your magazine to have an international appeal, you need to be more inclusive. Yeah, I know...we don't read Korean but we still want to see the photos.

wow 10 is my fave. the styling was terrible (or i guess they were going for that look) but the modeling and photography was SO good, i didn't NOTICE the less than flattering clothing...
ReplyDeletei think zhang ziyi is on the December 2008 cover of Korean Vogue.
ReplyDelete^
ReplyDeleteyup.
it seems Korean magazines prefer actresses to models hailing from China. personally I love Tang Wei's cover of W Korea few months ago the most among Chinese faces covered Korean magazines. she's awesome.
interesting poses
ReplyDeleteVogue Korea uses Korean models to represent in their terms of "east meets west. east is west" but i'm assuming its more for their korean agencies monopolising the market.
ReplyDeleteMore and more korean readers are sick and tired of korean models, they want the vogue nippon counterparts.
Like the commenter said above it is true that most Korean magazines tend to use more Chinese and Japanses actors rather than other asian models on the cover and editorials. Its a different marketing strategy.
