It's holiday catalog season so I'm hunting down all the catalogs to see who is appearing where this season. First, we saw Hye Park in Bloomingdale's Holiday 2008 catalog. Now Gwen Lu is in the Nordstrom's version. This is Gwen Lu's second consecutive appearance for Nordstrom. She was in the October 2008 issue and now has over 10 pages in the November (Holiday) 2008 issue.
Fall 2008 is turning out to be a good season for Gwen Lu because she has appeared in four editorials in France and Taiwan so far, and she has also booked a couple of catalog work (i.e. the money jobs) with Bloomingdale's and Nordstrom.

I wonder how much Gwen makes for this shoots. She's not as in demand as Hye who probably makes anywhere from 5-10k per day on these shoots. So, probably 1-2k, which is still very good.
I'm sure Hye got paid huge amount of money for that catalog shoot for Bloomingdales. I mean, she like the 2nd most successful/recognizable Asian models (after Du Juan) right now.
Gwen Lu probably got paid scale -- industry standard so your numbers are most likely correct.

i wish i could have gone to new york for their signing! but i didn't. i just found the pictures online. i was searching for their book on ebay and actually found a signed copy for well over $100 though.
2K is what you'd get paid if you're from LA. She probably got paid 5K since she's from NY. She's beautiful! Love the one where she's smiling.
5K is a bit much, even the TOP girls who work it get about 5-15k, depending on hours.
the first picture is stuning.

I thought how much you get depends on your loading fees? Id say, a bigger chain have to pay more as they have to use it in more places. If it comes out as an ad, that's additional fee. And etc etc. A simple catalogue job could pay really well..
