According to New York Mgazine's The Cut, Daul Kim was found dead in her Paris apartment this morning, apparently from suicide.

yea, i thought it was one of stupid twitter things. daul is a true artist and free thinker..i also dont believe it was suicide.. she seemed much too at peace with herself (see post on non-conforming and self-reliance)..
what she's done for the visibility of asian models in her 3 short years in the industry is phenomenal. such a tragedy but she's left behind a legacy.
please remember her.

i am in true disbelief.
this was a huge shock and i am very sad about her death.
she was an amazing model and i was really inspired by her.

Terrible Sad Sad News!
This is truly tragic. I miss her so much(even though i never personally knew her). I've been following her blog for almost a year now and was instantly smitten with her cheeky but cool personality. I actually ended up crying an hour after i had processed that she's left this earth forever. I don't think i've ever cried for a stranger. Daul, if you're reading this from heaven, know that you are missed. Rest in Peace forever.

I was shocked and I cried when I heard the news. I pray Daul will find the peace now and I hope whichever God she believed in will give her love she must have felt she didn't get in this world.
And please, someone who is better informed about her career would write a Wikipedia entry about her so she won't be forgotten in that sense either.

Why are models killing themselves? First it was ruslana and now dual. I don't know anything about daul's pesonal life but its such a sad situation and it just goes to show how everyone on the outside can look at your life and think wow look at her she's a top model, she has everything but when your not happy within yourself no amount of success will make a difference

It makes me very uncomfortable that a possible murderer is running free around in Paris.
Daul Kim's boyfriend was abusive. I also do not believe this was a suicide.
Her boyfriend's name is Guillaume Chaillet. He is high profile in fashion, head of Pressing PR Office. He is wealthy and well connected.
He is 20 years older than her.
It was not Daul Kim's apartment, It was his.
He was present, inside the apartment when she died. Authorities were quick to close the case as suicide and he was never a suspect.
The investigation has been transferred to another department handling criminal activity.
Possible Homicide.
Daul's death has not been confirmed a suicide. Most of the press have taken excerpts from her blog grossly out of context.
This is unbelievable...! :( It's so sad,,:(
