Yea, India is in Asian, so therefore she's asian...But so many times the word "asian" (at least in American culture) is associated with people from further eastern Asia. I think Indian people are just often called Indian or East Indian. I'm not saying it should be this way or that it is accurate, but since this site is probably global..This may explain some of the confusion.
